It's done!

Woo hoo!

The floor in Madeline's room is done! It looks so beautiful.


I still want to get a few accents for her room yet, and that will probably get done later on this week. And I will most likely paint that paneling when the weather gets nicer. My sister, her husband and new nephew came over and the guys laid the floor while Julie, the kids and myself played. Well while we fought over who got to hold Josh. :) He is just the cutest little boy I have ever seen. My girls just adore him and have started asking for a baby brother LOL!.....
Anyways I think the floor looks amazing and I so cannot wait to get the rest of the house done now. I think I may even start to love my house soon. Now that we are FINALLY working on the inside decorating part of it. Took darn long enough. But I guess things like roofs, furnaces, water heaters, good appliances, and new mattresses for all four us are a tad more important than flooring, furniture and a new coat of paint.

Wordless Wednesday

Seperate rooms

Well bed time was better I think. No constant telling the girls to be quiet or to get out of each others bed. But the "Get out of my room" thing is now starting. What is a mom to do?

Day 1

Well the room is not completely done yet, but we got most of the floor done and her bed in it to shut her up. I hope that this will cut down on the night time woes that we have been having here lately. I am still shocked beyond words that Madeline wanted the smaller bedroom. I for one would have taken the larger. I still want to buy her new bedding and a few decorations for her "Rockstar" bedroom. She is begging me right now to put up her Hannah Montana poster that I got her earlier. Lillian is none too happy right now, don't know why, I know that I'd be happier than a pig in shit to have my own bedroom.

Tonight should be fun, I hope all goes smoothly. Wish me well.

Easter

Happy Easter! Another holiday has come and gone. I am getting so sick of all this going to three sides of family for each event. It makes for so very long days. I am so glad that we are home now and I can relax, finally.

Seems so weird to me

When I was little we had an entire week of for "Easter" Spring Break, now all my daughter has is Friday and Monday off. It is not like we have snow days to make up, it is just the way that it is scheduled.

Woo hoo yeah

I am so loving the fact that at 7:00 pm the sun is still out and shining! I am all for the longer days. I am feeling so much better. I want to go outside and do things, now all we need is warm weather HURRY UP SPRING!

Wordless Wednesday

Child after my own heart.

I tell Lillian to sit on the couch and watch that evil show Yo Gabba Gabba, while I go an take a quick shower. No real biggie done this a bunch of times. I step out of the shower and hear Lillian howling with laughter. Now the show is just not that funny and I am not hearing those cartoon like voices. So I walk to the living room and stare in disbelief. She changed the station and was watching House on Haunted Hill. Yes the horror film. And laughing like it is the funniest thing on earth. (I have always loved horror films and find them humorous too which is the funny thing.) Now don't get me wrong I changed the channel and dealt with the fit she pitched for me doing so. I am not going to allow my 3 year old to watch movies like this. But it is nice to know that once she is older I will have a horror film buddy since my hubby is not into them.

A fan letter to Miley Cyrus

Madeline loves Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana. She asked me if she could write her a letter and if we could send it out to her. I told her of course she could. She wrote this last night and I just wanted to share it with you. It really put a smile on my face.

I LOVE JOSHUA!

Here he is the cutest boy I know! I am so thrilled that I was able to go see him today! He is perfect in every way!

After a very rough labor and an emergency c/s.

Julie was not progressing at all and in such pain that she was vomiting. So her doctor decided to do a c-section.

Apparently he was in the posterior position when they got in there, which was a surprise to the doctor. I will post pics of the little sweetheart tomorrow after I see him!

A little more than an hour ago I was ready to call it a night, took a shower got my jammies on and was ready to go to bed.


RING RING RING

I check the caller id and it is my sister.

She is asking me about bloody show, and bad back pains. It seemed to me that she was having these pains every 10-12 minutes.

I told her to hang up call the doctor and then to call me back again once she heard from the doctor. "just to be on the safe side" things always sound better coming from the doctor for a first time mom.

We are in the middle of the biggest snow storm of the year figures right.

I feel like I am on speed now, there is no way I will get to sleep anytime soon. I made her swear to call me once they get to like 5-6 minutes apart. Even if it is at 3:30 am. I have at least an hour ride to her house and then another 20 or so I think to her hospital.

I so hope that this is it, and yet I don't the weather issue scares me even for her getting to the hospital. She is due Monday, I am so excited that I could burst here.

Wordless Wednesday

Color me happy...

when I am coloring. I ran up to the store earlier and while there I picked up a coloring book for each of my girls, and one for myself too. I picked up the game UNO too. Sometimes you get good finds at the dollar store. Anyways back to the coloring part. I had such fun doing this. It was so relaxing and stress relieving. Just sitting there letting my mind go blank and just coloring without a care in the world. Lillian was a little bit angry that mine looked better. Well I do have 27 almost 28 years on the kid :) It is a nice QUIET activity, I really like those.

I think that once the girls go to bed I'll be breaking out the Crayolas once again. Make myself a nice cup of hot tea and just color a bit more.

I really hate this time of year.

I think that March is the suckiest month of all here in WNY. Today right now it is a warm 62 degrees, with the high supposed to be 64. Sounds like a nice spring day no? Now if this weather trend would continue I'd be happy as a clam. But noooooo, tomorrow we are in for snow, snow, and some more snow and a high of 32. At least for now I have the windows open and am airing out the house a tad. It is kind of invigorating.

I know I am in for a fight once I get Mads from school, she'll want to go out and play since it is nice out. But the ground is soaking wet from all the melted ice and snow. So going out is going to be a no go.

We are shooting for trying to install our new floor, well at least in a couple rooms over the Eatser break, also getting rid of the playroom and getting the girls their own bedrooms. That means major toy donation overhaul. I really need to get rid of all these stuffed animals they have. They really don't play with them but for every holiday them seem to acculimate a ton of them. I wish people would listen to us when we tell them "No stuffed animals".
