Now I myself am not a fan of Junior Mints but a lot of people seem to like them.

I now have a few things that I must try the next time I go to the show or curl up on my couch to watch a movie.

Linda I am sending you an e-mail requesting your home address so I can ship this out to you.

Thank you all for visiting and I hoped that you looked around at my blogs and found something to you liking.

No no no no no!

No no no! It just cannot be, please tell me it is not real, that it is not what I see! It is still too early for ths to happen, I mean it is not even Halloween yet. How can it be snowing? Yes you read that right as I sit here and type this, I am shaking my head in disbelief with a tear rolling down my cheek looking at snow falling to the ground. I am just happy and need to remind myself that the ground is still to warm for it to actually stick around.

The funny thing is that yesterday while Lilly was at pre K I ran to the mall to get the girls their winter coats. How is that for timing?

Hard work really pays off.

Been real busy past few days, laying a new floor, ripping apart our basement, we had new glass block windows installed yesterday. I found a paint color that I love for the living room and hallway. Soon we will be buying french doors for Madeline's bedroom and closing up the remaining gap. Expanding a closet (YES!!) Laying the floor in the living room. Each week my home is getting closer to what I want it to be. It is so great to finally getting the inside work done.

Anyways this past Sunday my aunt held a baby shower for her son and his wife. I told her that I'd make a desert for it and came up with this idea.

Yes they are cup cakes. Well what do you think? I think they are adorable. I was thrilled with how thay came out. Cake decorating is new to me, and this was my first real, "job". Took me all day to do. Everyone oohed and ahhed over them at the shower, but harldly anyone ate them. That kind of pissed me off after slaving over them all day. "They are too cute to eat", "I have to show them to my husband/ daughter" etc.. were the reasons I heard and heard again. Indeed they did take them home. I arrived early to give them to the banquest manager and she wents nuts over them and told me later how all the staff loved them. That made me feel real good. Even more so than my family's praise.

I'm in love, head over heels in love...

with my new .....

front loading washing machine.

My only complaint so far is that it is too quiet. I can no longer hang my head out of my hallway, and cock it as I listen downstairs to hear if the cycle has stopped. (Hee hee).

Mommy brag time

ooops looks like I hit save insead of publish here, my bad.

Okay time for another mommy brag moment here. Madeline has been chosen once again as her grade levels, "Beary Special Person of the Week". (A student that gets nominated by teachers for best exemplifying the school's character pledge. ie kind, caring, helpful, respectful). I am so very proud of her. She was so excited when she came out of school and when she seen me standing there waiting for her she ran over to me jumped in my arms and blurted the news out. She had her picture taken with the principal, will get a certificate and all week her picture will hang in the school's main showcase.

Not a pretty sight

Woke up this morning feeling like crap. I had a chill right down to the very core of me. I wanted nothing more than to pull those covers up back over my head and drift back off to dreamland. But no, the annoyong cry of the alarm clock wouldn't allow me to do that. Not to mention that I had to wake and feed the spawn, and get at least one ready for school this morning.

So as I am in the kitchen putting some water on for some hot tea I glance out the window and see that the lawn is white. A cold nasty frost crept in overnight. I go to the living room and put on the Today Show and see in the bottom corner of the screen that it is 37 degrees outside right then. (whimper) I am so not ready or looking forward to weather like this.

To top it off after I dropped Maddie off at school I went to Dunkin Donuts and they totally screwed up my order. Maybe I convince Lilly to go back to bed for another hour.

Light The Night Walk, was a blast

We had such a nice time time tonight, managed to raise $340.00 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. Not much but every bit helps. My heart broke for this family that was there who had a 4 year old daughter Margaret stiken with leukemia, she is the cutest thing. Having a 4 year old myself it really hit close to home. How lucky we are to have healthy childfren, I think a lot of us take it for granted, I am still misting up thinking about her. She was brought up on stage because her team had raised $28,000. It was my first walk and I am so doing it again every year. It warmed my heart to see so many people come out for such a worthwhile cause. The weather was great too, cool, not too windy. The dark clouds passed right over Deleware Park without releasing a single drop.

I got a shout out fron Route 66, the band that they had playing there because during their rendition of the B-52's Love Shack they asked for "help from everyone" during the bang, bang, bang, parts then it was "You're what?"... silence until I shouted out from the crowd, "Tin roof....rusted". I also won two items from he Chinese auction that they held. Both things are for the kiddos, I cannot wait until Madeline sees the Camp Rock lunchbox she is so gonna freak. There was so much free food and drinks that it was your own fault if you walked away hungry.

The walk itself was a beautiful site, seeing all those white and red balloons in a larage parade blinking. I would of loved just to have been an observer, it must of looked amazing to the passing cars. I hope that they release the number in attendance, I am really curious to know that information. Next year we are going to bring the girls, we think that they will have a blast.

Helped out in class today

I volunteered in Lillian's classroom today and had a blast! I even have three new boyfriends now. This one little boy just kept wanting to hug me he had to give me at least a dozen hugs in class today. Anther one asked if he could hold my hand as we walked out of the building when school was over. Good thing Lilly didn't get jealous. Speaking of her, one of the things I was asked to do was glue little pictures they drew about what I do in the day time and what I do in the night time, to a larger piece of paper maybe 11 x 14 in size.
I so cannot wait to tell Ed what she wrote.

In the day time I go to 7-Eleven and Tops with my daddy in his Cavalier

She drew a picture of her and him in the car. It was so sweet. When Ed works second shift in the mornings he'll take her to 7-Eleven to get a paper and coffee and some days he will go to Tops, (a local grocery store) to get a bite to eat for lunch and sometimes his dinner for the day.

Some of the things the other kids wrote laugh made me laugh. I am sure that their parents will get a giggle out of it too.

Her class also does this adorable song and dance called Tooty Ta. Lilly has been doing it all week so when the class did it today at the end of the day I joined in. Her teacher and the TA started laughing as I did the dance too. I think the TA nabbed a quick photo of me, I swear a seen a flash. As we were leaving her teacher told me she thought it was great that I did the dance with them like that. She remembered me voluntering when Madeline was in her class. I always felt guilty that I couldn't help out more when she was little, I have Lilly at home and she was a baby. Hopefully I will be able to help out a lot more this time around.
