I have been driving Madeline to and from school now for a bit. Since her bus driver is so unpredictable. Some days she is early others late, you never know what will happen. And don't even get me started on the return trip, how it takes over 30 minutes to drive a mere 5 streets is way beyond me.
We have often joked at the bus stop about how it would be faster to walk home from the school than it would be to take the bus. Well today I did just that.
Ed went out this morning to get the paper and noticed that his breaks were acting funny. So he calls his friend who owns a repair shop and his friend told him to bring the car in right now. So I am carless all day. So since we are having such nice weather I decided that I'd just walk up to the school and get her. As I was walking there of course the sky turned gray and I hoped that the rain would hold off. (It did although I did feel a few drops on the walk home).

Have you talked to the bus barn (that's what we call the folks that keep the buses here in the boonies) folks about what is going on? I complained and complained and complained and eventually they started showing up at the same time every day!
